This is probably one of the best reissues in the new Conniff/Collectables two-fer catalog. The sound is marvelous, the songs are unique, and the two albums ("It Must Be Him" and "Honey") were huge hits
"It Must Be Him" was probably Conniff's first album of nothing but contemporary songs of the day and it's a real pleasure to hear. All the songs have wonderful arrangements, the ones I enjoyed the most were "Music to Watch Girls By", "Somethin' Stupid", "It Must Be Him", "A Man and a Woman", "There's a Kind of Hush", "Up, Up and Away", and "The Impossible Dream". Well since that's most of the album there, I know you should buy this


"Honey", shows no difference from "It Must Be Him' - great songs, arrangements, and the usual Conniff treatment. Conniff was once again nominated for a Grammy for his version of "Honey", and he deserved to win (even if he didn't win the Grammy). Highlights are "Honey", "The Look of Love", "Gentle on My Mind", "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Valley of the Dolls", "I Say a Little Prayer", "The Sound of Silence"... well I think the whole album is great.
