Braids started as a musical experiment, hypothesized by four best friends in their last year of high school. Now several years on, the results of that experiment are finally being gloriously realized. Braids moved in unison from Calgary to Montreal in 2008, where they were greeted with open arms by the forerunners of Montreal¡¯s underground alternative art scene. They began playing lofts, practicing in warehouses, touring the country and meticulously constructing their upcoming full length album Native Speaker in the bowels of a rickety house across from the Hasidic synagogue.
