On four of these tracks the band line up is Stephen Parsick and Frank Makowski. Lambert Ringlage helps out on two of the tracks here. Frank Makowski collaborates with Stephen to provide something new, it could still be described as 'retro' but it certainly sounds very different to his solo album or other collaborations. The opening number starts as a superb drifter, caressing the deepest regions of the mind but then a mesmerizing sequence forms which only lasts for a very short period of time before we float into the second track which is a very cosmic affair, I mean well out there man We seamlessly move into track three, a rumbling sequence heralding its start, this could really be a dead ringer for RMI at their very sequential best. A wall of ever shifting sound makes you feel as if you are watching a speeded up car chase through a landscape of psychedelic colours. Just when you think things are at overload they up the tension still further, things only starting to relax a little at the ten minute mark but the sequences still rumble and shift incredibly. The next track is a soothing number to recover from the mayhem of before. This takes us nicely to 'Before the Storm' which is an appropriately titled cosmic masterpiece complete with celestial choir effects. Then we have the final number 'Phasenverzerrung'- Holy Monkfish Here we move into Node territory, with everything cranked up to earthquake proportions and lead lines sizzling through the sonic sequential bombardment. At around the eleven minute mark the chugging sequence mutates into something that sounds like a train from hell but then a most glorious delicate sequence plays over the top with heavy synth pads underpining everything. This album represents the perfect combination of calm and absolute carnage.
