With "paradise regained" ORF Edition Ancient Music wants to revive renaissance polyphony. A few years ago "Ancient Music" meant music from the renaissance, today the definition has been broadened. Today "Ancient Music" is not defined through the repertoire, but through the interpretation. The focus lies on baroque music, the renaissance works - once "state of the art" - are rare in concert and CD's - waiting to be rediscovered. This first CD's benefit is, that most of the works have been recorded for the first time, which is interesting, because Missa ?Quam pulchra es" with it's six voices one of the monumental works of the renaissance is. The ensemble "The sound and the fury" was created by Thomas E. Bauer in 2000, have created a new sound concept the renaissance pieces.
